Greenstein's Bakery - Baking Bible - Pecan Praline Meringue Ice Cream Sandwiches

ב''ה

Lulu said: "These are awesom-azing!

Toasted Pecans. They really did add a nice flavor to these.

I was thinking, "That is a lot of muscavado. These better be good!"

 They were a little runny...

I atcually like that they came out nice and thin.

These really were more delicious then I expected them to be. A real treat. However, most of the kids slurped out the ice cream and left the cookies with the offending nuts un-eaten.

Greenstein's Bakery - Baking Bible - Double Damage Chocolate Oblivion

ב''ה

Coming soon… Pictures… Maybe.

Can't find the pictures I took.

However, like all of Woody's recipes so far, this cake was fantastic. I still have dreams of the 'Lemon Luxury' from Heavenly Cakes.

I made this cake in two pans. The flour-less cake I made in a regular cake pan (parve) inside I roasting pan filled with water. I covered the top with a silicon pie pan. Too bad I can't find the picture. ;)

The second cake was a standard chocolate cake. I did not have time to make the ganache but it really would have helped bring it together and cut the dryness.

Greenstein's Bakery - Baking Bible - Classic Brioche

ב''ה
What can I say? Rose's Brioche recipe is wonderful. The best!

Starter.

Also Made Rus 'The Caboose' some chocolate cake for her birthday.

 The dough coming together.

French brioche molds. According to Jewish law we can't make dairy bread unless it has a known shape, lest we come to eat it unknowingly with meat, ח''ו.

Oh, brioche, I am so glad you have a special shape.

Toaster shot.

Greenstein's Bakery - Baking Bible - Orange Cream Tart

ב''ה

This was such a fantastic recipe. Thick, tart consistency thick, orange/lemon curd in a delicious tart crust.

Omi Girl Helped me with the lemons.

Getting a hand of this crust thing little by little...

Making the curd. I cut down on the lemon juice because I did not want the lemon flavor to over-power the orange.

Toaster shot!

I forgot all about the flame-thrower part...

Truly a fabulous dessert!
