This is winner. The browny is decent but the tart crust is really nice, rich and really chocolaty. It is delicious and soft and easy to work with.
Mis en place. I actually ended up using trader Joes walnuts which tasted very fresh and nice.
I used the hand mixer and added the powdered sugar to the dry ingredients.
Came together with the butter nicely.
This tart dough was really easy to work with. The butter was cold but not hard. U rolled right away and then refigerated it a bit to pull it off the parchment.
It was delicious just a dough.
Chocolates.
Very gloppy brownie batter.
Toaster shot.
Looks so nice.
So this little one stuck her fingers all over it. I was going to get upset but then my wife pulls out of her hat a brand new glass cake stand. After placing on the stand it looked pretty again.

That's adorable although it probably wasn't adorable to you after all the hard work baking this beautiful brownie tart. It must have looked so irresistible to this little child. Such a tactile experience. I used chocolate caramel ganache that was frozen in the freezer to fill in the thermapen holes. I've decided I should always keep frozen ganache; it fixes quite a few things!
ReplyDeleteLooks delicious! I love how your little girl looking through the cake dome..for a piece of tart.
ReplyDeleteNice cake stand and dome! Fudgy chocolate is irresistible.
ReplyDeleteThe consistency of your brownie looks perfectly fudgy - great photo at the top. With so many small children in the house I think you might invest in a lockable cake stand!
