The ganache really stole the show with this cake.
Mis en place:
Dry ingredients and cocoa.
Before the eggs.
Ready to go in.
I'm really not sure what I did wrong here but the cakes crumb turned out very dense. I even measured the ingredients and everything. Maybe I did not bake it long enough.
Heat the sugar for the caramel.
Pour the cream etc.
What a fantastic ganache! I bet this would go well with a lot of other cakes. Really classic.
Ooo.... I can't wait to try the caramel ganache. I love your confetti decoration - I bet the kids got a kick out of it.

ReplyDeleteI just finished doing the ganache and its sitting pretty doing its first hour time, then to wait for the rest of the 2 before I frost the cake that has been chilling in the refrigerator since last night... so far each of the components are smelling and looking great.. so if I go by your post, this is going to be a favorite of mine - stay tune!
